Get to Know Us

We are a small kennel owned by Joel Rines and Shilo Tapp, located in Trent Hills Ontario (about 45 minutes east of Peterborough). Our focus is on the preservation and improvement of this amazing breed. All of our breeding dogs have multiple health clearances. These include eyes yearly, gonioscopy, cardiac, hips, elbows, patellar, and spondylosis. Our dogs are also genetically tested with the use of Betterbred, a test which aids in the planning of genetically diverse litters. We are both members in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club and the Flat Coated Retriever Society of Canada (Joel is currently the Obedience Rep of the FCRSC).
